Strangely enough my time in Italy is coming to an end. We entered the trip knowing it would fly by but it’s still sad when that concept becomes a reality. Last night we got back to Florence after 2 days in Padua and Venice. [On a side note: I LOVE visiting other Italian cities and on the bus ride home, as my eyes are closing from the weight of exhaustion and too much pasta, thinking about how nice it is that "home" has become Florence.] Venice is possibly my favorite place we visited so far.
A lot has happened over the last 4 1/2 weeks– inside and out (I’ll explain in a little bit). Good news is my jeans still fit despite the constant consumption of pasta and pastries and NUTELLA, which I have made the executive decision to leave behind in Italy.
Also in the mode of decision-making, I decided a fun way to catch-up on everything that has happened this trip would be to post pictures and entries from my travel journal so I can hopefully piece together[in a logical order] my experience. Only hitting on some main trips– otherwise I’d be blogging for the next year about Italy.
For now, enjoy a couple pictures of my outward transformation* and I’ll be catching up soon. Ciao!
“Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.” Proverbs 4:23
(It’s perfectly straight on my back in person, I just have bad posture in the pics) I wanted this tattoo while I was home in the States and then decided it would make for a great story to have it done while here in Florence. So, in a very un-Sarah fashion, I went to DRAGON TATTOO (you read that right) and in a matter of 20 minutes I had this extremely unique souvenir.
Well, more soon. Love you all.
